This was one of the most amazing experiences I had, ever! We were a group of 11 going from Cebu city to swim with whale sharks in Oslob, followed by canyoneering in Kawasan falls, all organized by Mike Muñoz from Highland Adventure Tours, who was also one of our guides through canyoneering. Whale shark swim was in Oslob, so that part I review there and here I review Kawasan falls and Highland Adventure Tours. After whale shark swimming, we got to Kawasan falls; beginning with short safety briefing, we started our journey. We decided to take the zip line to save about 40min walk time, highly recommend it, as the rest of the experience is pretty demanding on the body, so we saved a bit of energy + time. Zip line was great, super professional crew (not included on the tour but not expensive at all) The whole canyoneering usually takes 3-4 hours depending on how many photos and how big your group is, we took a bit over 4 hours... this was a truly amazing experience, the views, the river, the falls, the water temperature, the color of the water and the beautiful contrast with the green of the plants and color of the rocks, all was really incredible!! Our guides were excellent, super professional, helpful and attentive to our needs, they really took good care of all of us throughout every step of the way. They were a super fun group to share this experience with and were amazing photographers! I couldn't recommend them more, talk to Mike Muñoz or directly to Highland Adventure Tours, you won't be disappointed. Almost forgot, lunch is included and was delicious!! Homemade Filipino food, super tasty!! Rice,vegies and pork or chicken, all was relly delicious!

In April 2023, I had the pleasure of embarking on the Whale Shark + Canyoneering + Diving with Sardine tour offered by Highland Adventure Tours. It turned out to be one of the most fantastic overseas experiences I've ever had, and I can't recommend this package enough! The staff were incredibly friendly and responsive throughout the entire process, from booking to the end of the trip. They made sure everything was perfectly organized and tailored to our needs. Our adventure began with an early morning pick-up at 3 am, and our driver arrived ahead of schedule, ensuring a smooth start to our day. The canyoneering portion of the tour was exceptional, thanks to our friendly and helpful guide, Sunny. When I lost my watch during one of the jumps, Sunny retraced our steps and managed to retrieve it – a gesture I truly appreciated. For those who are hesitant about trying scuba diving, rest assured that Highland Adventure Tours has your back. They offer an unlicensed dive option, where you'll be paired one-on-one with an experienced diver to guide you through the experience. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend the Whale Shark + Canyoneering + Diving with Sardine package with Highland Adventure Tours. Thank you for the unforgettable experience!

We had a great time with Highland Adventures! My friend and I chose the 2 day tour and it was wonderful. The guides moved at our pace and they were friendly and helpful. They were also our cameramen throughout the whole thing, so we got lots of lovely photos. The car was air-conditioned, the equipment was quality, and there were not extra costs (only food and snacks). We had Nicko for Kawasan Falls and snorkeling at Pescador Island, and he was fun and encouraging. Our driver Mike was our tour guide for the second day and he did a great job with the camera. I did the sardine run with canyoneering private tour. The tours were great and I had a little scare with some jellyfish stings that needed medical attention. Our driver was very attentive and quickly drove to the hospital. I was in and out with enough time to go to the canyoneering tour and our guide was so patient with my husband and I who were quite slow and needed some extra time to walk with our old knees. I would highly recommend using them for your tour around Cebu.

Did the Kawasan Falls canyoning tour with a family of 5 (age 16 to 46). Absolute highlight of our holiday. Zipline experience at start isn't included-500PHP extra but the ride is recommended (&shortens the walk in from 40min to 10min). Kawasan is VERY popular. Expect a constant flow of tour groups down the gorge. HAT staff recommended earliest possible start (from 6am) and weekday tour due to crowds. Wear runners for traction. Highest canyon jump is 2nd stage of Kawasan Falls at 14m. All jumps but the smallest 1-2m have a ”walk down” option if you're unsure. Note that the falls are easy to visit as a self-driving option, but the lowest/3rd stage of the falls are very commercialized and busy. I VERY much recommend the guided tour.

Highland Adventure Tours facilitated one of the best days of our three week trip. Michael (owner), George (guide) and Ronald (driver) were the best of the best and we were sad to not have booked more with them. We booked a private whale shark and canyoneering tour and spent from 4am - 6pm with these folks. The whale sharks were majestic and this was a once in a lifetime experience. We read plenty of reviews before and knew to expect large crowds and long lines. It was smoother and faster than expected and Ronald was with us every step of the way. It was such a perk to have a trusted companion / car to leave our personal belongings with. Canyoneering was by far the best adventure tour we have ever done. The number of “wows” and “this is the best day ever” was in the dozens. George was clearly a professional and knew his stuff. It was our first time doing anything like this. He guided us through every jump with confidence and knowledge of the situation and where any challenges or safety hazards may be. He patiently captured us on our GoPro as we went. He picked up every piece of garbage along our trail. He was friends with just about every person we met along the way. He was one of the only guides showing how to maneuver each level and gave us such personalized attention the entire 4 hours. There’s a stop halfway to get barbecue skewers (bring pesos!!) so we stopped to eat and George spent the break helping other adventurers jump the biggest/most challenging cliff jump of the trail, whose guides were much more hands-off. At the next stop, he bought us each a Puto (Rice cake) to snack on (no promises he’ll do this again, but so sweet he did it for us) We told him we loved him and we meant it!!! There are a lot of vendors you can book to guide you through the falls but please trust me when I say that witnessing how they worked with each customer, NONE of them compared to Highland Adventure and George. When/if you go to Pangsama beach you will see a lot of people selling tours, some of which may even appear cheaper initially, but 1) you get what you pay for and 2) ultimately after every up-charge and additional hidden fee, the tours ended up costing close to the same. Also, a lot of those vendors don’t guide them yourself but outsource you to another company. Once they’ve taken your money, they can no longer guarantee the experience since it’s “out of their hands” Book directly with Michael at Highland Adventure tour and you won’t regret it! Oh, and if it couldn’t get any better, lunch after was *delicious* and we so appreciated Michael’s kind offer to share some drinks with us at the end. Michael, George and Roland - you’ve left a big impression on us. We can’t wait to come back and bring all our friends next time. WE LOVE YOU!!!!

love the place, easy to locate, has a huge space for parking, with large area for guest and highly recommended specially for larger or huge number of groups. can accomodate a hundred people. very clean and elegant toilets and bathrooms, friendly staffs and has complimentary stuffs and the space for holding is so spacious. overall recommendable! 👏👏👏
